  • professional profile information, including your role, employer, business, sector, website, LinkedIn profile, markets, interests, skills, and experience;

  • application information, including what you are seeking, what you offer, your India-world interests, relevant background, and reasons for applying;

  • communications with Krignal, including emails, event enquiries, support requests, feedback, and messages;

  • profile information, posts, comments, documents, images, and other material submitted through the Services;

  • information relating to a Krignal Private request, including relationship needs, target criteria, relevant context, and other information you choose to share;

  • Partner application information, including services, credentials, references, case studies, track record, and commercial information;

  • Krignal TV participation information, including your name, biography, title, company information, image, likeness, voice, contribution, and approved materials;

  • payment, invoicing, tax, and transaction information; and

  • any other information you choose to provide.

Some information is necessary for Krignal to review an application, create an account, process a payment, arrange an event, facilitate a relationship, or provide another requested Service.

If you choose not to provide information needed for a particular Service, Krignal may be unable to provide that Service or may be limited in what it can offer.

Where payment is processed online, payment-card or bank details are generally processed by the relevant payment provider. Krignal may receive payment confirmations, transaction references, invoice details, and other limited information needed to administer the transaction.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

When you browse the Website or use the Services, we may collect:

  • IP address;

  • browser and device information;

  • operating system;

  • approximate location derived from IP address;

  • pages viewed, links clicked, and features used;

2.3 Information from other sources

We may receive limited professional information about you from:

  • publicly available professional sources, such as company websites, professional profiles, conference pages, press coverage, and published material;

  • a Member, Partner, adviser, speaker, or other person who refers or recommends you;

  • a person requesting a possible relationship with you;

  • event hosts, venues, or production partners;

  • service providers acting on our behalf; and

  • references you provide or authorise us to contact.

This may include your name, role, business, professional background, publicly available contact details, and information relevant to an application, profile, relationship request, Partner review, or other Krignal Service.

Where we receive information about you from a public source, referrer, or third party, we will use it only for a purpose connected with the Services, such as reviewing fit, evaluating a possible relationship, assessing a Partner application, protecting the network, or contacting you about a relevant Krignal matter.

Where required by applicable law, Krignal will provide appropriate notice or information about such processing.

3. How we use personal data

Krignal aims to collect and use only the personal data reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

3.1 To operate the Website and Services

We use personal data to:

  • provide access to the Website and Services;

  • create and manage accounts;

  • review applications;

  • activate and manage memberships;

  • administer events;

  • operate the online community;

  • manage payments, invoices, renewals, and refunds;

  • respond to enquiries and requests;

  • maintain accurate records; and

  • provide support.

3.2 To assess applications and maintain the quality of the network

Krignal is a curated network. We may use professional information to:

  • assess Krignal Network, Partner, event, Krignal TV, or Krignal Private applications;

  • verify identity, role, organisation, or other information where reasonably appropriate;

  • assess fit with the relevant Service;

  • maintain a safe, credible, and relevant community; and

  • prevent misuse, fraud, impersonation, or harmful conduct.

An application does not guarantee acceptance, a response, a membership, a Partner relationship, a Krignal TV feature, or a Krignal Private engagement.

3.3 To facilitate relationships and relationship requests

Krignal may use information about your role, interests, needs, offerings, sectors, markets, and professional background to identify potentially relevant relationships.

Krignal may facilitate relationships through introductions, referrals, invitations, contextual sharing, event participation, or other methods appropriate to the circumstances.

Where Krignal intends to share your direct contact details, confidential information, or a Krignal Private request with a specific third party, Krignal will do so only where Appropriate Authority exists, unless the disclosure is required by applicable law, a regulatory requirement, court order, or lawful government request.

Appropriate Authority may arise from a request you have made, a profile-visibility or contact-sharing preference selected by you, permission you have given to Krignal or the relevant person, an agreed engagement scope, a contractual or legal basis permitting disclosure, or another basis permitted by applicable law.

Appropriate Authority does not require Krignal to obtain a separate confirmation for every relationship facilitation where such authority already exists.

Krignal maintains records of the relevant permission, request, setting, registration, participation choice, engagement scope, or other affirmative action supporting relationship facilitation where such records are reasonably practicable and appropriate.

3.4 To deliver Krignal Private

Where you use Krignal Private, we may process information needed to understand and deliver the agreed scope, including:

  • the relationship or business need;

  • desired profile, company, market, or Partner criteria;

  • relevant background and context;

  • communications with you and potential relationship recipients;

  • records of searches, assessment, curation, and relationship facilitation; and

  • billing and engagement-administration information.

We will not use confidential Krignal Private information for unrelated marketing, public content, or general-purpose AI training.

3.5 To operate Krignal TV and events

We may process personal data to:

  • invite, register, and manage attendees;

  • organise events and communicate event details;

  • manage access, attendance, safety, and venue requirements;

  • record, photograph, or film events using notices, signage, consent, venue terms, or other appropriate measures depending on the setting;

  • produce, edit, publish, distribute, promote, and archive Krignal TV content; and

  • respond to requests relating to published Krignal TV content.

For planned Krignal TV participation involving an identifiable contributor, or the use of their name, likeness, voice, approved materials, or non-public information, Krignal will obtain affirmative consent or other documented authorisation before recording or publishing that contribution.

Event footage and incidental appearances may be recorded and used in accordance with notices, signage, consent, venue terms, or another lawful basis appropriate to the setting.

3.6 To communicate with you

We may send:

  • service communications, including account, application, membership, payment, security, event, and support communications;

  • relationship communications;

  • updates about Services you have requested or use;

  • invitations, event announcements, Krignal TV updates, and other marketing communications where permitted by law; and

  • legal, policy, security, or operational notices.

You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications using the unsubscribe option in the relevant communication or by contacting privacy@krignal.com.

You cannot opt out of essential service communications while you have an active account, membership, event registration, Krignal Private engagement, payment obligation, Partner application, or unresolved support request.

3.7 To improve and protect Krignal

We may use personal data to:

  • understand how the Website and Services are used;

  • improve user experience, community features, events, and operations;

  • test and develop features;

  • maintain security;

  • detect and prevent fraud, spam, harassment, abuse, and unlawful conduct;

  • investigate complaints or policy breaches;

  • enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines; and

  • comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit, and record-keeping obligations.

Krignal does not treat pseudonymised information as anonymous information. Where Krignal uses pseudonymised information, it continues to handle that information as personal data under this Privacy Policy, including for applicable access, correction, erasure, security, and retention obligations.

Krignal may use anonymised or aggregated information for analytics and improvement where it reasonably considers that the information does not identify you or disclose your confidential information.

Krignal will not seek to re-identify information it has rendered anonymous, except where reasonably necessary to investigate a security incident, fraud, misuse, or compliance with applicable law.

4. Consent, legitimate uses, and your choices

Krignal processes personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related rules, to the extent applicable.

4.1 Where Krignal relies on consent

Where Krignal relies on your consent, Krignal will provide a clear notice of:

  • the personal data to be processed;

  • the specified purpose of processing;

  • the relevant contact details for privacy questions and rights requests; and

  • the available route for withdrawing consent or exercising applicable rights.

Consent, where required, is requested only for the stated purpose and through a clear affirmative action.

You may withdraw consent through the method made available when consent was obtained or by contacting privacy@krignal.com.

Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. It may affect Krignal's ability to provide a Service that depends on the relevant processing.

4.2 Where Krignal does not rely on consent

Krignal may process personal data without consent only where permitted or required by applicable law.

This may include:

  • processing for the specific purpose for which you voluntarily provide personal data to Krignal and have not indicated that you do not consent to that use;

  • complying with a legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit, court, or government obligation;

  • responding to or establishing, exercising, or defending a legal claim;

  • protecting the security, integrity, and lawful operation of the Website and Services;

  • preventing fraud, abuse, misconduct, or unlawful activity; or

  • another limited use expressly permitted by applicable data-protection law.

4.3 Your choices

Where applicable law gives you a choice about how personal data is processed, Krignal will provide an appropriate way for you to exercise that choice.

You may contact privacy@krignal.com with questions about how Krignal processes personal data or to exercise any rights available to you under applicable law.

5. How we share personal data

Krignal does not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

We may share personal data only where reasonably necessary and lawful.

5.1 With Members, prospective relationship recipients, and other users

We may share relevant professional information with another Member, prospective relationship recipient, or other user where:

  • you have asked Krignal to facilitate the relationship;

  • the sharing is reasonably connected with a Service you have requested;

  • you have chosen to make profile information visible through a relevant Service;

  • Appropriate Authority exists;

  • the disclosure is required by applicable law, a regulatory requirement, court order, or lawful government request; or

  • another basis permitted by applicable law applies.

We will not share your direct personal contact details, confidential information, Krignal Private information, Partner-application material, or references without Appropriate Authority, except where disclosure is required by applicable law, a regulatory requirement, court order, or lawful government request.

5.2 With Partners and service providers

We may share relevant information with an independent Partner only where needed to:

  • respond to a request you have made;

  • facilitate a relationship or Service you have requested;

  • deliver a Service;

  • process a payment;

  • host or administer an event;

  • produce Krignal TV;

  • provide technology, communications, analytics, security, storage, support, or professional services to Krignal; or

  • comply with applicable law, a regulatory requirement, court order, or lawful government request.

Partners are independent third parties. Where you choose to engage a Partner, your engagement is directly with that Partner unless Krignal expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

5.3 With vendors acting for Krignal

We may use service providers that support our operations, including:

  • cloud-hosting and storage providers;

  • website, analytics, and security providers;

  • payment processors;

  • email, communications, and customer-support providers;

  • event, venue, production, photography, and video providers;

  • professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers; and

  • AI and technology providers used to operate specific features.

These providers may process personal data only as reasonably necessary to provide services to Krignal and subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, and security safeguards.

5.4 For legal, security, and corporate reasons

We may disclose personal data where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law, a regulatory requirement, court order, regulatory request, or lawful government request;

  • investigate fraud, abuse, harassment, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines;

  • protect the rights, property, safety, and security of Krignal, Members, Partners, Guests, users, or others;

  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or

  • support a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets, or other corporate transaction involving Krignal.

Where Krignal responds to a legal or regulatory request, it will seek to disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Where legally permitted and appropriate, Krignal will seek to notify affected individuals before responding to a legal demand for personal data.

6. International data transfers

Krignal operates an India-world network.

Your personal data may be processed in India and in other countries where Krignal, its service providers, or relevant Partners operate.

Where personal data is transferred outside India, Krignal will do so in accordance with applicable law and any restrictions notified by the Government of India or other competent authority.

We will use reasonable contractual, organisational, and technical measures designed to protect personal data transferred internationally.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Krignal may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies on the Website and Services.

Cookies are small files stored on your browser or device. Similar technologies may collect or store information in other ways.

7.1 Types of cookies and similar technologies

We may use the following categories.

Essential cookies
These are needed to operate the Website, maintain security, manage sessions, remember core preferences, prevent fraud, and provide requested features.

Functional cookies
These help remember choices you make, such as language, region, or other preferences.

Analytics cookies
These help us understand how visitors use the Website, identify technical issues, measure performance, and improve content and Services.

Communications and marketing-measurement cookies
These may help us understand whether a Krignal email, campaign, event invitation, or other communication was received or engaged with.

Krignal may use advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking technologies only where it has an appropriate lawful basis and has provided any notice, choice, or other measure required by applicable law.

Krignal does not sell personal data to advertisers or use personal data to enable unrelated third parties to target you with advertising.

7.2 Your cookie choices

You may manage cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings.

Where Krignal provides Website-based cookie settings, those settings may allow you to manage certain categories of cookies or similar technologies used on the Website.

Where applicable law requires Krignal to provide a particular notice, choice, or control for cookies or similar technologies, Krignal will provide the relevant mechanism before using those technologies for that purpose.

Disabling or removing cookies may affect the functionality or performance of parts of the Website.

8. AI-supported features

Krignal may use AI-supported features to help organise information, surface potentially relevant people or opportunities, manage inbound interest, or reduce noise.

AI-supported features are designed to assist, not replace, human judgment.

Krignal's AI-supported features:

  • do not autonomously initiate outbound messages;

  • do not send Introduction requests;

  • do not accept mandates;

  • do not make commitments on your behalf; and

  • do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-supported outputs before relying on them.

Do not submit confidential, personal, regulated, deal-sensitive, or third-party information into an AI-supported feature unless you have the right to do so.

Krignal will not use confidential Member information, Krignal Private information, or Partner-application information to train public or general-purpose AI models.

Where Krignal uses an AI provider, that provider may process information only as reasonably necessary to operate the relevant feature and subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. How long we retain personal data

Krignal retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the relevant Service, to meet legal or contractual requirements, to resolve disputes, to enforce agreements, or to protect the security and integrity of the Services.

Krignal maintains and applies internal retention schedules and criteria for different categories of information, including applications, membership and account records, Partner reviews, event records, Krignal Private engagement records, billing records, and support communications.

These schedules and criteria are reviewed periodically and take account of the purpose of processing, the type of Service, legal obligations, operational requirements, and whether a dispute, complaint, investigation, or security matter is ongoing.

Our retention approach includes the following categories:

  • Applications: retained for application review, communication, security, reapplication assessment, and related legal or operational needs.

  • Accounts and memberships: retained while active and for an appropriate period afterwards for account management, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and record-keeping.

  • Krignal Private and Partner records: retained for the relevant engagement, relationship administration, contractual obligations, confidentiality, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

  • Financial, invoicing, and tax records: retained for the periods required by applicable law.

  • Security and technical logs: retained for security monitoring, fraud prevention, incident investigation, and system integrity.

  • Event records: retained for event administration, safety, follow-up, dispute resolution, and legal or operational needs.

  • Published Krignal TV and public content: handled under Section 9.1 below.

Where Krignal operates an online community or another Service to which intermediary obligations apply, Krignal may retain registration information for the minimum period required by applicable law after cancellation or withdrawal of registration.

Where personal data is no longer required, Krignal will delete it, anonymise it, or securely retain it only where legally required or reasonably necessary.

9.1 Published Krignal TV and public content

Published Krignal TV content, event photographs, clips, interviews, and related public content may remain available subject to the relevant filming or production consent, the Terms of Service, and applicable law.

A valid filming or production licence does not remove any privacy right that applies under applicable law.

If you request erasure, restriction, or cessation of future use of published content containing your personal data, Krignal will assess the request under applicable law, the relevant consent or release, editorial and archival considerations, contractual obligations, and any legal or operational need to retain the content.

A request does not automatically require Krignal to recall, delete, or remove copies already published, distributed, downloaded, licensed, syndicated, archived, or shared by third parties. However, Krignal will consider whether future promotion, new use, or continued availability should be restricted, removed, or otherwise addressed where required by applicable law or appropriate in the circumstances.

To exercise a personal-data right in relation to a Krignal TV contribution, including a request for erasure, restriction, or cessation of processing, contact privacy@krignal.com.

For editorial or production requests concerning future promotion, new use, or other non-privacy matters relating to a contribution, contact connect@krignal.com.

10. Security

Krignal uses reasonable organisational, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards may include access controls, authentication measures, security monitoring, encryption where appropriate, contractual controls with service providers, staff and contractor confidentiality obligations, and procedures for investigating security incidents.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

If Krignal becomes aware of a personal-data breach, Krignal will investigate, contain, and address the incident.

Where required by applicable law, Krignal will notify the Data Protection Board of India, affected individuals, and any other relevant authority in the form and manner required by law.

If you believe your account, credentials, or personal data may have been compromised, contact connect@krignal.com promptly.

11. Your privacy rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request information about personal data Krignal processes about you;

  • request access to personal data;

  • request correction, completion, or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;

  • request erasure of personal data, subject to legal, contractual, editorial, archival, and operational retention requirements;

  • withdraw consent where Krignal relies on consent;

  • exercise choices available to you under applicable law in relation to the processing of your personal data;

  • request information about the categories of personal data being processed and the purpose of processing;

  • nominate another individual to exercise relevant data rights in the event of your death or incapacity;

  • object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law provides that right;

  • opt out of non-essential marketing communications; and

  • submit a privacy grievance.

To exercise a privacy right, contact privacy@krignal.com.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.

We may decline, limit, or defer a request where permitted or required by applicable law, including where the request would affect another person's rights, compromise confidentiality, interfere with a legal obligation, affect content covered by a valid consent or release, or prevent us from maintaining necessary records.

If you are dissatisfied with Krignal's response to a privacy grievance, you may, where applicable, make a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India after first using Krignal's grievance-redressal process, or to another competent authority under applicable law.

12. Children

The Website and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to persons under 18 years old.

Krignal does not knowingly collect personal data from a child without appropriate authority or approval.

Where Krignal knowingly processes personal data relating to a child, we will follow the requirements of applicable law.

Krignal will not knowingly feature a person under 18 in Krignal TV without verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data to Krignal without appropriate authority or approval, contact privacy@krignal.com.

13. Third-party websites and services

The Website and Services may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms, video platforms, payment providers, Partner websites, or other services.

Krignal is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security, or policies of third parties.

You should review the privacy policy of any third-party website or service before providing personal data to it.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Krignal may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

For material changes affecting active Members, Partners, or Krignal Private clients, Krignal will use reasonable efforts to provide at least 14 days' prior notice, unless an earlier change is reasonably necessary for legal, security, safety, or urgent operational reasons.

Where applicable law requires additional steps for a changed purpose of processing, Krignal will take those steps before processing personal data for that purpose.
